Alain Bombard

A doctor, biologist and sailor, Alain Bombard was a fervent advocate of marine protection.
A pioneer of survival at sea, in 1952 he proved that it was possible to cross the Atlantic on an inflatable raft using only ocean resources.
His commitment and research inspired the creation of BOMBARD RIBs, designed to combine safety and performance at sea.

We wanted to pay tribute to his visionary spirit and his commitment to marine protection by supporting TheSeaCleaners association.

So we’ve put this commitment into practice by forming a partnership with The SeaCleaners.

For each sale of a Bombard Explorer or Sunrider, €200 will be donated to support their efforts to preserve the oceans: the creation of ‘Mobulas’ boats that clean the oceans.

Through this initiative, we are perpetuating the legacy of Alain Bombard by actively contributing to the protection of the
marine environment.
