A brand, an expertise
We start with better fabrics!
Bombard sportsboats are crafted from our own 1100 Decitex fabric which is significantly
tougher than what is used in most other inflatables. It has been perfected to retain its original character even after years and years
of prolonged exposure to ozone and the sun’s UV rays. It is particularly airtight and
designed for the marine environment. Undisputable proof of it’s inherent qualities,
the Bombard fabric comes with a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty*.
Thermobonding**: the Bombard guarantee
This fuses the fabric together, as well as welding the inner and outer joining strips
in a fully-automated heat-fusion process. So it is very reliable. You can tell by
the excellent finish.
Boat structure: the Bombard safety
The hullshape of any boat is one of the most important criteria in its design. This
is often overlooked by other inflatable manufacturers and the public, with the result
being disappointing, wet or even dangerous handling characteristics. At Bombard,
every single one of our hullshapes is in our Computer Aided Design programs*** which
benefit from the latest marine software design to reproduce correct planing ability,
effective resistance points, rigidity, comfort and safety.
A brand, a commitment
Boats that meet all standards All Bombard boats conform to ISO 6185, the rigorous design and technical
specifications imposed by the International Organisation for Standardisation,
and to the latest European certification n°94 25/CE. As well as that, Bombard is
a member of NMMA, the US National Marine Manufacturers Association, and conforms
to all the certification and approval requirements of AFNOR, DIN and R.I.N.A. which
are respectively the French, German and Italian Standards Administrations.
Sea professionals - Bombard's answer
Scientific expeditions, sea rescue organisations, fishermen, diving or sailing clubs, all these
activities require reliability and safety.
January/February 2006: An international team of explorers and speleologists headed by Bernard Tourte went to South America. With their Bombards (Commando C5, Typhoon, etc.), they explored the icy waterfalls and subterranean caves of Patagonia under extreme conditions.
